Born
in Reno in 1941, I graduated from Reno High and attended the University of
Nevada. After several years of working in the Food & Beverage Industry I
entered the insurance business in 1967. I have worked in the business as an
insurance salesman, General Agent, and Regional Director of Agencies. Since 1977
I have owned and operated Michael C. Robinson Insurance, a life and health
insurance agency located in Reno, Nevada and now Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
I know no one likes to
overpay for their insurance. As a broker for many insurance companies, I help
people find insurance coverage that fits their needs at a cost they can afford.
I also work with other agents in order to find coverage that their companies don’t
offer.
I like the challenge of
finding coverage for people that have been rated up or declined due to their
lifestyle or medical history. If you haven’t been able to purchase the
coverage you want at an affordable price, I will do all I can to find the
coverage you need.
I have been active in my
community serving on many boards. I have had numerous public comment letters
published by the local paper and one by the Wall Street Journal. In 2002 I ran
unsuccessfully for Mayor of Reno. I was outspent 3-1. I have served on the West
Hawaii Regional Board (the Kona Hospital Board) and I’m a volunteer mediator
for the West Hawaii Mediation Center with over 180 hours of mediation.
My wife Michele and I spend time in both Hawaii and
Nevada and we have two sons, three granddaughters, and a grandson.
